Fruit salad recipe
Cooking time: less than 5 minutes
Serves: 3
Ingredients
1 cup = 300 ml
1 tbsp = 15 ml
1 tsp = 5 ml
- Sugar / चीनी / சர்க்கரை – 5 tbsp
- Water / पानी / தண்ணீர் – ¼ cup
- Lemon juice / नींबू का रस / எலுமிச்சை சாறு – ¾ tsp
- Vanilla syrup (essence) / वनीला सुगंध / வெண்ணிலா சாரம் – ¼ tsp
- Rose syrup (essence) / गुलाब सार / ரோஜா சாரம் – ¼ tsp
- Cardamom powder / इलायची पाउडर / ஏலக்காய் பொடி– 1/8 tsp
- Salt / नमक / உப்பு – 1/8 tsp
- Apple / सेब / ஆப்பிள் (medium size) – 1 (chopped)
- Pomegranate / अनार / மாதுளை (medium size) – ½
- Banana / केला / வாழை பழம் (medium size) – 1 (chopped)
- Papaya / पपीता / பப்பாளி (small size) – ¼ (chopped)
- Mango / आम / மாம்பழம் (medium size) – ½ (chopped)
- Grapes / अंगूर / திராட்சை (seedless) – 10
- Cherry / चेरी / செர்ரி – few
- Vanilla ice cream / वनीला आइसक्रीम / வெண்ணிலா ஐஸ் கிரீம் – 3 scoops (vanilla ice cream)
Method
- Add water to the sugar and dissolve the sugar completely in water at low flame.
- Stir until it reaches sticky consistency at low flame. Turn off the flame. Sugar syrup is ready.
- Cool the sugar syrup for 3 minutes at room temperature.
- Then, add lemon juice, cardamom powder, vanilla essence, rose essence and salt to it. Mix it well.
- Add apple, pomegranate, banana, papaya, mango and grapes to it and mix it gently.
- Store in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Garnish with cherry. Serve with an ice cream scoop. You may like our vanilla ice cream recipe.
