Noodles Cutlet

Noodles cutlet is a scrumptious snack prepared with boiled noodles, vegetables and spices. This easy crispy snack can be prepared in few minutes and will be loved by people of all the ages. This will be a crispy and tasty treat especially for noodles lovers. Here is the simple and easy recipe to enjoy it at home.

Serves: 10 Cutlets/Tikkis

Cooking time:

For boiling noodles: 9 minutes

For pressure cooking vegetables: 9 minutes

For roasting Cutlet (Tikki): 4-6 minutes for each Cutlet/Tikki

Ingredients

1 tbsp = 15 ml

1 spoon = 10 ml

1 tsp = 5 ml

1 coffee spoon = 2.5 ml

For boiling noodles

  • Noodles – 160 grams
  • Water – 1 cup (1 cup = 300ml)

For Pressure cooking vegetables

  • Potatoes – 1 (big size) (peeled)
  • Carrot – 1 (big size) (sliced)
  • Green peas – 2 ½ tbsp
  • Water – ¾ cup (1 cup = 300ml)
  • Salt – required

For preparing Cutlet/Tikki

  • Big sized Onions (finely chopped) – 1
  • Bread Crumbs – 40 grams
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp (heap)
  • Mango powder – ¾ coffee spoon
  • Garam masala powder – ½ tsp (heap)
  • Red Chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Corn flour – 1 spoon
  • Salt – required

For Frying / Roasting Cutlet (Tikki)

  • Cooking oil – 1 spoon (For greasing Tawa) + 1 spoon (added over Cutlet/Tikki)

Method

For boiling noodles

  1. Allow the water to boil for 2 minutes at medium flame.
  2. Add the noodles and mix it well. Close it with a lid for 3 minutes.
  3. Mix it well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame.

For preparing Tikki

  1. Boil the potatoes, carrot, green peas with required water and salt with vent weight for 8-10 minutes in a pressure cooker at high flame.
  2. Mash the vegetables well.
  3. Add the boiled noodles to the mashed vegetables.
  4. Add the finely chopped onions, coriander powder, Mango powder, Garam masala powder and Red Chilli powder to the mixture. Mix it well.
  5. Add the corn flour and required salt to it.
  6. Make round shaped Cutlets with the mixture and roll it over bread crumbs.
  7. Grease the tawa with cooking oil (1 spoon).
  8. Roast the prepared cutlet in hot tawa with cooking oil (1 spoon) until it turns golden brown. Serve hot.
