Coriander leaves Kheer (Payasam) is an instant healthy Dessert which can be prepared in a minute. This delicious dish is prepared with Coriander leaves, Grated Coconut, Jaggery powder and Cardamom powder.

Coriander leaves are rich in Iron which helps in treating anemia. It also helps in maintaining the Blood sugar level. The presence of linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid and ascorbic acid in the Coriander leaves helps in reducing the LDL cholesterol level in the blood. It also aids in digestion. It is essential to include Coriander leaves in our daily diet to sustain a good health.

Coconut powder is rich in fiber and healthy unsaturated fat. It is the one of the best ways to include unsaturated fat in our diet. Jaggery is rich in potassium which helps in Weight reduction and prevents Water retention in the body. As it is rich in Iron, Vitamins and Minerals, it is a healthy substitute for Sugar.

Cardamom powder is rich in Vitamins and Micronutrients which aids in digestion and helps in controlling the Cholesterol level in the blood.This toothsome Dessert is not only healthy but also time saving.

Preparation time: 1 minute

Serves: 1-2 

Ingredients 

1 cup = 350ml

1 spoon = 10 ml

1 tsp = 5 ml

1 coffee spoon = 2.5 ml

  • Coriander leaves (Celery) – 1 cup
  • Grated Coconut/Dry desiccated Coconut powder– 2 spoon
  • Jaggery powder – 4 tsp
  • Cardamom powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Water – slightly less than 1 cup
  • Ice cubes – 2 (optional)

Method

  1. Add the Coconut powder, Jaggery powder, Cardamom powder and Water to the Coriander leaves.
  2. Grind it to a very thick juice. Add the Ice cubes to it. Coriander leaves Kheer is ready.
