Banana Custard

Banana Custard is an easy and lip smacking Dessert that can be prepared in very few minutes.
This toothsome dish is prepared in a jiffy with Chopped Bananas, Milk, Custard powder, Vanilla essence, Nuts, Sugar and Saffron strands.

It is an easy and lip smacking Dessert that can be prepared in very few minutes

Ingredients

1 tbsp = 15 ml

1 spoon = 10 ml

1 tsp = 5 ml

1 coffee spoon = 2.5 ml

  • Milk – (240-250) ml and 80 ml
  • Vanilla custard powder – 1 ½ spoon
  • Medium sized Banana (I have used Red banana) – 3 (finely chopped)
  • Sugar – (3 to 4) tsp
  • Ghee – ½ tsp
  • Saffron strands – 8
  • Vanilla essence – 2 drops
  • Cashew nut – 8
  • Almonds – 10
  • Raisins – 1 spoon
  • Cranberries – few (Optional)

Method

  1. Dissolve the Vanilla Custard powder with Milk (80 ml). Custard milk is ready.
  2. Roast the Cashew nuts with the Ghee until it turns slightly golden in a pan at medium flame. Then, add the Almonds and Raisins to it and mix it well. Turn off the flame. Mixed nuts are ready.
  3. Boil the milk (240-250 ml) for 5-6 minutes in the Kadai at medium flame (I have used Hindalium Kadai).
  4. Add the chopped Bananas to it. Stir the mixture for 2 minutes.
  5. Then, add the prepared Custard milk, Saffron strands, Sugar and Vanilla essence to it and mix it well. Boil the mixture for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the mixed nuts to it and mix it well. Stir for a minute. Switch off the flame.
  7. Close the Kadai with a lid for 3-4 minutes and cool it for few minutes and refrigerate. Serve it chill.
  8. Garnish with Cranberries (Optional).
