Lip Smacker (Nutritious and Easy to make) is a mouth-watering dessert prepared with Red banana, Apple, Low fat Milk, Almonds, Fresh cream, Coconut powder, Walnut, Brown Sugar, Vanilla essence and Lemon water. This is a different recipe for those who are bored eating raw fruits and nuts. It is a healthy start which can be served before breakfast as it contains the essential nutrients one must need to lead a healthy life. The apt time to eat fruits and nuts is half an hour before breakfast.

Red banana is rich in Vitamin C, Potassium and Fiber. It cures constipation and prevents from type 2 diabetes. It also aids in weight reduction as it contains only few calories when compared to other fruits. It is essential to include Red banana in our daily meal. It is also an instant source of energy. As it is rich in antioxidants, it increases the hemoglobin count and improves the quality of blood.

Apple is rich in antioxidants, fiber and nutrients. It aids in lowering the LDL cholesterol level in the blood.  It helps in improving the neurological health and reduces the chance of stroke. It is essential to consume an Apple every day to prevent from breast Cancer.

Walnuts are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, unsaturated fats and antioxidants. It also an excellent source of Vitamins and minerals. It helps in improving the brain function and also prevents from various types of Cancer. It is essential to consume (1 to 2) tbsp of Walnut every day.

Almonds are rich in Vitamin E, Biotin, Manganese, Magnesium and Riboflavin. It effectively lowers the LDL cholesterol, if it is consumed daily. It is also high in protein and fiber. It also aids in maintaining the blood glucose and blood pressure level.

Coconut powder is rich in fiber and healthy unsaturated fat. It is the one of the best ways to include unsaturated fat in our diet. Here, I have used Brown sugar instead of white Sugar. It is nutritious when compared to White Sugar. Brown sugar can also be replaced with Raw Honey which has more health benefits.

This delectable dessert is very rich as it contains nutrients & fiber rich ingredients. 

Preparation time:  10 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

   1 spoon = 10 ml

   1 tsp = 5 ml

  • Red banana -2 (chopped)
  • Big sized Apple – 2 (chopped)
  • Low fat Milk – 500 to 550ml
  • Raisins – 10
  • Almond – 13 and few for garnishing
  • Low fat Fresh cream – 2 ½ tsp
  • Dry Coconut powder/ Fresh grated Coconut – 5 tsp
  • Walnut – 2 spoon
  • Brown Sugar – 7 tsp/ Raw honey – 8 tsp
  • Vanilla essence – 2 drops
  • Lemon water – 3 drops

Method

  1. Grind the Almond, Walnut, Fresh cream, Brown Sugar ( Raw honey can also be used instead of brown Sugar) , Coconut powder, chopped Red banana, Apple with the Milk to a paste of very light consistency.
  2. Add the Vanilla essence and Lemon water to it and mix it well.
  3. Freeze the mixture for 8 hours. Garnish with Raisins and few almonds. Lip smacker is ready to serve.
