Uttapam pizza is a toothsome dish prepared with Idli/Dosa batter. It is a delicious version of Uttapam.
Serves: 1 pizza
Cooking time: 8 – 10 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup = 300 ml
1 spoon = 10 ml
1 tsp = 5 ml
1 coffee spoon = 2.5 ml
- Cooking oil – 1 spoon (For greasing)
- Idli/Dosa Batter – 1 3/4 cups (1 cup = 300ml)
- Small sized carrot – 1/2 (grated)
- Small sized Green Capsicum – ½ (diced)
- Small sized Yellow Capsicum – ½ (diced)
- Medium size tomato – 3/4 (diced)
- Cheese (Mozzarella) – 10 grams + 40 grams
- Tomato sauce – 1 ½ tbsp
- Oregano – 1 tsp + ½ tsp
- Chilli flakes – 1 tsp or required
- Corn pellets – 30 grams
- Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tsp
Method
- Grease the tawa with the cooking oil.
- Pour the Idli/Dosa batter (The batter should not be too watery) to a circle shaped pizza.
- Add the oregano, Chilli flakes and Cheese (10 grams). Cook covered (With a lid) for 3 minutes.
- Spread the Tomato sauce over it.
- Add the Carrot, Green capsicum, yellow capsicum, Tomato and corn pellets over it.
- Add oregano (required/ ½ tsp) and grated cheese (40 grams) over it.
- Mildly press the toppings and cook covered for 2 minutes.
- Add extra virgin olive oil to it and spread it evenly. Ready to serve.
